Welcome back Gaveliers!
This week’s Gavel Club meeting was held by Carson and there were seven members in attendance. There were new members who gave introductions and made sure to include fun facts about themselves. These members were assigned open roles at the beginning of the meeting to contribute.
The topic for this week's meeting was “Singers & Instruments”. Speakers gave their speeches about the instruments they played and why they chose them. Speakers described instruments such as the guitar and alto saxophone and how they came to play them. Thank you for sharing your insightful personal stories gavel members! After the speakers gave their wonderful speeches, the Table Topics section began. Many questions were asked such as: What new instrument would you like to learn and why? What is your favourite musical artist and song? What instrument best describes you? Members were very eager to raise their hands and share their answers. Our Table Topics Evaluator did a marvelous job mentioning how despite having been put on the spot, our members showed confidence in their answers and persisted throughout the meeting. Great job Gaveliers!
At the end of the meeting, members were assigned their roles for next week in which the topic will be “Games”. Our next meeting will be held on October 29th! Looking forward to seeing our Gaveliers next week!
