What Is Toastmasters for Seniors About?
Our projects encourage individuals to practice new skills through a variety of activities, whether it be a goal-focused speech or taking on a leadership role at a meeting. Individuals build confidence by leading the meeting, signing up to give a speech, and practicing impromptu speaking while gaining feedback.
About the Program
Program Objectives
Enrich the lives of seniors in Markham by providing them with access to English lessons in an in-person setting and valuable knowledge and skills that are relevant to their daily lives.
Program Elements
This program aims to deliver 30 sessions of Toastmasters for Seniors Program from March to December 2024 and its primary focus is to enhance the well-being and quality of life of our elderly community members.
Program Outcomes
Through a comprehensive curriculum covering public speaking contests, digital literacy, and promoting a healthy lifestyle that includes the Canadian Food Guide, our project strives to empower and engage seniors to lead fulfilling lives.
